Infant Care

Infant Care Newborn – 19 months

Leaving a baby for the first time is the hardest day of childcare. Our infant room is built to make it easier: a small group, familiar faces every morning, and a rhythm that follows your baby rather than the clock. You will know what they ate, how they slept, and what made them smile — every single day.

What we focus on

Inside Infant Care — what we actually do.

The handful of things this room is genuinely built around, rather than a list of everything a daycare could possibly claim.

1

Your schedule, not ours

Feeding, napping, and awake windows follow the routine you already have at home. We write it down on day one and adjust it with you as your baby grows.

2

The same faces every morning

Infants are assigned a primary educator so there is always one person who knows the difference between a tired cry and a hungry one.

3

A daily report you actually want to read

Bottles, diapers, sleeps, and one small moment from the day — a first roll, a new sound, a favourite song — sent home with you at pickup.

4

Safe sleep, every sleep

Individual cribs, back-to-sleep positioning, and visual checks logged throughout every nap in line with Alberta licensing standards.

5

Room to move

Tummy time, low mirrors, padded climbers, and floor-level shelves so babies can reach for what interests them and build strength doing it.

6

A gentle first two weeks

Short days, phone check-ins, and a settling plan built with you. If it isn’t working, we tell you honestly and we change it.

What they’ll take with them

The skills we are deliberately working toward in this room.

  • Settled, predictable sleep and feeding routines
  • Early gross motor strength — rolling, sitting, crawling, pulling up
  • First words and sound imitation through constant narration
  • Secure attachment to a familiar caregiver outside the home
  • Comfort with routine transitions and new faces

Very happy with the quality of the daycare! The staff are very friendly, professional and respecting covid guidelines. I feel this is a very good place to educate and prepare a toddler for kindergarten. Highly recommended.

Infant Care questions

What families ask about this program.

If your question is not here, call the centre — you will speak to someone who knows this room.

Cannot find your question?

Call the centre and speak to a person who actually knows the rooms and what is available.

Do you take babies who are not yet on solids?

Yes. We support breast milk, formula, and purées. Bring labelled bottles ready to feed and we will follow your written feeding plan. Breakfast is provided in the morning; lunch is not provided.

How do you handle a baby who will not settle?

We try the routine you use at home first, then we call you. We would rather ask than guess, especially in the first few weeks.

What do I need to send each day?

Diapers, wipes, cream, two full changes of clothes, a sleep sack or blanket, bottles, and a packed lunch. Breakfast is provided in the morning. We handle bedding laundry on site.

Is there a waitlist for the infant room?

Usually yes — the infant room is our smallest and fills first. Start an enquiry and we will tell you honestly where you sit and when a space is expected.
